What is ONE SCENE?
ONE SCENE is an intimate live event built around emotionally powerful scenes from original works by emerging playwrights.
A few actors. Minimal staging. One room eager to listen.
Playwrights submit a single scene from a larger work, an unfinished play, or even a standalone moment that deserves to be heard. Selected scenes are performed live before an audience in a stripped-down setting where the writing takes center stage. The performance will be held in the Philadelphia region in the Fall of 2026.
We’re drawn to scenes that linger. The conversation that changes everything. The moment the room goes quiet. The line people think about on the drive home.
